Positioning accuracy refers to the deviation degree between the target position and the actual position that the lead screw can achieve in one movement.It reflects the accuracy of the lead screw to reach the target position in a single movement.The positioning accuracy of the lead screw is a definite value (e.g. 0.01mm),not a range (e.g. ±0.02mm).The positioning accuracy error depends on the manufacturing error of the screw drive component.


For example:The lead screw is required to go 100mm,in fact,it is 100.01mm,and the extra 0.01 is the positioning accuracy.


For example:Set the screw movement distance of 100mm,the actual movement distance of 100 screw is 99.99mm to 100.01mm,and the positioning accuracy is 0.02mm(100.01-99.99=0.02).

Repeated positioning accuracy refers to the accuracy that the mechanical system can repeatedly reach the same target position in multiple movements,which reflects the consistency and repeatability of the mechanical system to reach the same target position in multiple movements.Repeated positioning accuracy is important for applications that require multiple repeated movements.



The repeated positioning accuracy is a range(e.g. ±0.02),and the repeated position error is related to the clearance of the lead screw components,the accuracy and resolution of the grating ruler,and the mechanical system error.


For example:A lead screw is required to run 100 mm,the first time the actual operation of 100.01mm,repeat the same action,it went 99.99mm,the error between 100.01-99.99=0.02mm,is repeated positioning accuracy.Repeated positioning expression method: expressed by ±x,the above error is expressed as ±0.01mm,which is ±(0.02/2).
